General Partner, Chief Scientific Officer & Co-founder

A Hertz Fellow with a PhD in biomedical engineering from Harvard-MIT and degrees in electrical engineering from MIT, Lily has spent over two decades bridging rigorous science and commercial strategy across synthetic biology, microfluidics, therapeutics, diagnostics, programmable materials, and beyond.

Before co-founding Awaken Capital, Lily served as Partner and Chief Scientist at OS Fund. She also led business development for research groups at the Wyss Institute at Harvard, advised top pharmaceutical companies at Decision Resources Group, and trained as an engineer at Mercedes-Benz. She serves on the Council of the Hertz Foundation and the Dean's Leadership Council at UC San Diego's School of Biological Sciences.
